Do fish know they are in a tank?
Chef's answer
Neither. The tank doesn't necessarily seem new to them, they learn the layout and remember the behavior of you and the other fish. They also don't really have the faculties to grasp the concept of what a tank is. So they learn the tank, but they don't really understand the tank.

That's a filter rated for 100 gallon so it will only just filter 90g... so aquarium stocking levels would apply. You'll probably need two of those once the fish get any real size on. I would say about half a dozen tilapia, but it's a small tank so they wouldn't grow full size.
