Does hotter water cook pasta faster?

In most cases I would say emphatically yes, but an almost negligible amount. This is because "boiling water" in reference to cooking pasta, basically refers an eyeball's glance of some level of vaporization around 100C. ... But more heat means water will return to boiling faster once noodles are introduced.
