Most phones have a thermometer for the battery. It's mainly used to shut the phone down if it gets too hot. It's not really accurate for air temperature since it picks up heat from the phone, by design. Samsung Galaxy S4 had a thermometer but Samsung has chosen to remove this sensor from following Galaxy S devices.
